How to maintain your Accessories in good condition

  • Put Accessory on after applying perfume
  • Chemicals like perfume, vinegar, and lemon juice easily damage your Accessory and should not come in contact with them.
  • Remove Accessory before washing, cleaning or dry-cleaning your clothes.
  • Remove your Accessory if you’re going to do any manual labor, including housework to prevent it from getting damaged.
  • Enamel can chip or crack if they’re knocked against a hard surface.
  • Harsh solvents used in cleaning can damage any kind of Accessory and particularly silver.
  • Don’t wear Accessory in swimming pools and spas – chlorinated water can react with the metals causing color changes and even structural damage.
  • Contact sports and Accessory is a nogo – hard blows during sports can damage Accessory not to mention the people involved.

How to clean your Accessories

  • Polish silver or gold with a jewelry polishing cloth for smooth surfaces. Do not use tissue or paper towels, they can cause scratches because of fibers in these products.
  • Cleaning jewelry regularly can keep it looking good, but be careful. Rubbing alcohol can work wonders, but bleach can literally destroy jewelry so avoid it in any case.
  • You can use soap, warm water and a soft brush to dissolve any dirt. However, don’t do it too often and make sure the brush is very soft when used on metal, especially gold, which can be scratched relatively easily. Use a soft cloth to dry and buff your Accessory once it’s cleaned.
  • Stay away from ultrasonic cleaners. This vibration shakes off dirt, but they can also cause serious damage.
  • Sometimes your Accessories can tarnish when not worn. To maintain their luster, you can place silver anti-tarnish strips in your storage container to absorb the oxidants that discolor and tarnish your Accessories.

How to store your Accessories safely

  • Store in a dry and well ventilated space.
  • It is best to store your items separately from other jewelry.
  • Prevent pieces from moving around
  • While traveling keep your Accessories preferably in the original box that came with the item.
  • Do not store your jewelry inside leather, this can tarnish gold and especially silver.
